Liquid distributors ensure uniform distribution of liquid across the packing, preventing channeling and dead zones. Gas distributors similarly disperse gas evenly, optimizing contact with the liquid. Demisters, like wire mesh pads, remove entrained liquid droplets from the exiting gas stream.
