Wire mesh corrugated packing, as an efficient and regular type of packing material, plays a crucial role in multiple industrial fields due to its unique characteristics. This packing material is mainly made of stainless steel and is precisely manufactured through advanced processes, featuring thin walls, high heat resistance, large voids, high flow capacity, and low resistance. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for the operation of vacuum distillation towers and can efficiently handle heat-sensitive, easily decomposable, easily polymerizable, and prone-to-coking materials. As a result, wire mesh corrugated packing has been widely applied in packing towers in the petrochemical, fertilizer, and environmental protection industries. 

Advantages: 

1. Large specific surface area, high porosity, and light weight. The specific surface area of Type 500 packing is 4.5 times that of the metal ball ring (the specific surface area of the ball ring is 110 m2/m3, and the density is 650 kg/cubic meter), while the density is only 40% of that of the ball ring. It has a high porosity and the wire mesh has a strong capillary effect, enabling it to achieve thorough wetting even with a spray density of 0.2. Therefore, the packing efficiency is high.

2. The angle of the gas communication channel is small, there are regular gas communication channels, and the pressure loss is low, and the pressure drop of the packing is small.

3. Good radial dispersion, sufficient gas-liquid contact.

4. Not prone to clogging, afraid of corrosion, difficult to clean, and can only be cleaned by chemical methods.

5. The cost of the packing per unit volume is high, which limits its application range to a certain extent.
